The government of Uttar Pradesh has finalized structural reclassifications for two specific locales situated in the Ayodhya district to adapt to localized cultural sentiments. Announcing a public gathering in Bikapur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confirmed that the changes are part of a continuous process to align administrative boundaries with the historic and spiritual background of the geographical area.
Under the revised framework, the urban municipal town traditionally designated as Bhadarsa has been formally reassigned the identity of Bharat Nagar. This administrative adjustment specifically links the municipality to the local history of Bharat Kund, which is geographically associated with the younger brother of Lord Ram. Additionally, the newly set up municipal division of Khiloni-Suchitaganj has been formally registered under a revised regional identity.
The update for the newly organized municipal sector followed formal representations submitted by the area’s political leadership. Elaborating on the procedural decision during the public assembly, Adityanath stated, “The MLA has requested that the Khiloni-Suchitaganj Nagar Panchayat be named after Maa Jwala Ji. I announce that it will be known as Maa Jwala Ji Nagar Panchayat.” The state machinery will implement subsequent infrastructural updates to reflect the new designations across district data grids.
