Climbing The Ladder – Slow and Steady
It took years to climb the ladder and reach this position that he wouldn’t have dreamed of. In 2004, he led the development of Google Chrome browser and then he took the charge to oversee Android OS.
In the tech industry, this news is not a surprise at all. Sundar Pichai proved himself on several occasions. He played a vital role in Google making peace with Washington. He spoke to President Donald Trump and solved the issue.
One thing, Sundar Pichai has been Larry Page’s heir apparent for few years and now he will associate with Alphabet for a long time.
Tim Bajarin, the president of Creative Strategies feels that Sundar Pichai is the logical replacement of the iconic pair. Google and Alphabet are facing bullets from every direction. That’s bad news. The good news is that they have a team that can fight with fire.
The New CEO of Alphabet Proved His Worth
Last year Google struggled with employees leaving the companies in huge numbers. Google kept its mouth shut on sexual misconduct issues happening in the company. Many employees protested against the management and eventually left the company.
There are so many conflicts arising over Google’s culture and 4 of their employees tried to file charges against Google. They said unfair labour practices agitated them.
