China has just launched the 5G network in about 50 Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, on November 1, with the cheapest option costing just under $20.

All three state-backed operators – China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, are providing similar plans for their local users.
China plans to activate over 130,000 5G base stations by the end of the year which will help it to build one of the largest 5G networks globally.

Not only this, but China also is on its way of making a 5G equipped high-speed train station in collaboration with Chinese tech giant Huawei.

According to Huawei, visitors to the station will be able to download a 2GB high-definition film in less than 20 seconds, which is ten times faster than a standard 4g network.

However, it’s important to note that even in China, not everyone and every place has access to the 5G network.

Chinese Engineers have built the country’s first 5G smart town near Shanghai and named it Wuzhen. Residents of Wuzhen will be able to download TV series, movies or games at an impressive speed of 1.7GB per second.
Wuzhen is an ancient water town that boasts of a super-fast internet connection in every part of the place.
More than 140 transmitters send 5G signals to every corner of this 27-square-mile town of Wuzhen.
