10 Rules and Laws for Students in the Indian Constitution- every student should know.

If we talk about the most potent resource for the country’s development, that is the country student, and the student is the only person who creates the country’s future. But sometimes, students exploit some rules of the country and use their power for illegal activities.

To stop this, the government prepared some rules in the Indian constitution that a student must know and follow. These rules and laws are primarily applicable to college students and their legal rights.

Here we have discussed ten rules and laws that an Indian student must know; in this list, we have mentioned some education-related laws and some traffic-related laws.

So if you are a student, then you have to know all these rules, these are very beneficial for you, if somewhere student independence is exploited and you have the knowledge, then you can speak against them.

Article 19 (1) (a): – Right to Information

The act is known as RTI in the Indian constitution, known as the right to information, a fundamental right for every citizen of India.

  • Passed in parliament June 15, 2005, and fully came into force October 12, 2005
  • According to this act and law, every citizen and student of India can request to the public authority for information, and authorities have to revert the back in 30 working days.

Most students use this article when they doubt the competitive examination, and authorities have to provide them the valid information within 30 days.

Article (14): – Right to Equality

The law defines that everyone living in Indian territory and a citizen of India has equal rights, and the person is known as an Indian citizen.

  • This law is known as the classification law; different types of equalities are grouped according to caste and religion and based on other factors.

Article (21A):- Right to Education

The act is known as RTE Right to Education; according to this law, every citizen of India has the right to compulsory education. And the child from 6 to 14 will get free education according to article 21A.

  • RTE came into parliament on August 4, 2009.
  • Thi law also provides 25% reservation in private education institutes.
  • RTE also offers other benefits about education to all Indian students.

Article (21): – Right to Life

According to this act, no one has the authority to end your life, and even government also doesn’t have this type of authority. Under this law, if your life is at risk, the government should take proper action to save your life.

  • Somewhere your life is at risk, then. According to this law, you can take the government’s help.
  • If any family member dies due to some circumstances, you have the right to the investigation under this section.

Here we have described some laws that can help you if you are in a problem as an Indian citizen or a student and you need the help of constitutional help. But as a student, you also have some responsibilities and laws that you have to follow.

Here we have discussed some traffic acts and laws that a student must know.

Act 1988, section -185, 202

This act came under the traffic act, in which police can arrest you if your blood contains more than 30ml alcohol while driving. Police do not need any warrant to stop you and file a drunk and drive case.

  • You will get a punishment of 6 months and ten thousand for a first-time offense, and the second time if you do, you have to pay fifteen thousand as acceptable.

Then every student should know this act and not drive while drunk; it can harm many innocent people.

Section (129): – Indian Motor Vehicle Act

According to this act, it is necessary to wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler, and more than two people on a two-wheeler are also against the law. Police can arrest you, and you have to pay 10,000 as acceptable and one-month imprisonment.

  • The law also says that if any traffic officer snatches your car or motorcycle key, it is illegal, and you can take action against that officer.

Section 128: – Indian Motor Vehicle Act

According to this act traffic, a police inspector can arrest you for speeding and racing in public areas and on traffic roads.

If you do speeding or racing, you have to pay five hundred to ten thousand and one 1-month imprisonment.

Indian Motor Vehicle Act

We know that insurance for every vehicle is a must in every country, which is for your safety. If you are driving an uninsured car, traffic police can arrest you for three months. You have to pay a fine of 2000 rupees for the first offense, and for the second offense, you have to pay 4000.

  • Driving without a license is also against the law, and police can punish you while you go without a permit.
  • Traveling without a ticket in a government transport vehicle is also a crime.

Part ( 129) of the Indian Penal Code

According to this act, if you are found and discovered doing obscene activity in public places, the police can arrest you for three months.

  • Students must know this act because sometimes police misuse it; if you see it, you can take proper action.

Most Retail Value Act, 2014

According to this act, if any shopkeeper and storekeeper charge you more than retail value, you can take proper action against the shopkeeper.
