In the third week of October, Indian startups raised a total funding of $476.01 million, marking an increase of 2.6X compared to the last week.
Mumbai-headquartered B2B Eruditus is an EduTech startup leading the growth-stage funding by bagging $150 million in its Series F round, led by The Rise Fund. Subsequently, the D2C beauty commerce brand Purplle raised $60 million from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Besides, SaaS firm Neuron7 based out of Bengaluru serves in the B2C space and pocketed $44 million in a series B funding round supported by Smith Point Capital, pointing to a boost in the energetic funding landscape.

This week’s growth-stage funding saw numerous distinguished deals across various sectors. Edutech firm Eruditus dominated the round with an impressive $150 million. Bengaluru-headquartered Neuron7 secured $44 million. Fintech startup UGRO Capital bagged $40 million in its growth stage and is based in Mumbai. FinTech startup Slice in its growth stage raised $8.6 million in an undisclosed funding round led by Rajan Bajaj. Gurugram-headquartered firm Yu Food pocketed 6.5 million in its Growth stage backed by Ashish Kacholia, Asian Paints Group. According to Infomance Research, a total amount of $423.61 million was secured involving 14 deals.

Early-stage funding saw notable activity involving a series of significant investments across different fields. B2C elder care startup, Primus Senior Living is a prominent player in this category which raised $20 million, supported by General Catalysts. Simplismart, a Bengaluru-headquartered SaaS company, secured $7 million. Another notable deal included Suraasa, a B2C EduTech startup from Gurugram, which raised $6 million in an undisclosed funding round. Additionally, Robotech startup Perceptyne closed a $3 million in seed funding round. Moreover, a capital of $52.4 million was raised across 12 early-stage deals.

The funding ecosystem was dominated by the Seed funding round involving 8 deals, reflecting interest in early-stage startups. Following this, the Undisclosed Round saw 7 deals, whereas Series B contributed to 4 deals. The Debt, Series F, and Pre-Series A rounds each secured 2 deals. Additionally, the Strategic, Maiden, and Pre-Series B rounds each accounted for 1 deal. Meanwhile, the Pre-Seed funding round witnessed 5 deals. This data underscores a varied approach to funding across different stages of startup development.

The B2C model led the charge by closing 16 deals, followed by the B2B and D2C models obtaining 15 and 6 deals subsequently.

The SaaS sector emerged as a dominant key player in the investment landscape, securing an impressive 9 deals and underscoring the increasing reliance on software solutions across various industries. Following closely, E-commerce closed 6 deals, reflecting a robust interest in innovative healthcare solutions. The Fintech, FMCG, and Edutech sectors each garnered 4,3, and 2 deals respectively. On the other hand, a broad spectrum of sectors—including, FashionTech, Ayurveda, Elder Care, Semiconductor, SportsTech, BioTech, Beauty-commerce, Wellness, InsurTech, and HealthTech—each recorded a single deal. This wide range of investment activity showcases a dynamic environment, with investors eager to explore opportunities in both established and emerging markets.

City-wise Analysis
Mumbai stood out in the investment landscape, securing 11 deals. Bengaluru followed with 10 investments. Gurugram attracted 6 deals. Both Pune, Delhi, and Hyderabad demonstrated strong engagement with 2 deals each, showcasing their emerging potential. Meanwhile, Nashik, Noida, and Chennai contributed with 1 deal each, introducing a broad spectrum of investment potential across these various cities.

Brown Living, a platform for promoting sustainable and plastic-free living, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed funding round, led by Blink Digital, along with investments from Sanjay Nayar, Founder and Chairman of Sorin Investments, and investor Bharat Iyer.
A tech original equipment manufacturer (OEM) revolutionizing display technology, SuperUs has secured an undisclosed amount in pre-seed funding led by an integrated incubator and accelerator platform, Venture Catalysts.
Founded in 2023, the fashion tech company for women, ANNY has successfully closed its seed funding round with an undisclosed amount backed by Faad Capital with additional backing from prominent high-net-worth individuals and industry leaders.
Bengaluru-based insurance-tech startup Healspan has pocketed an undisclosed amount of seed funding led by financial services and angel investing network Lead Angels.
