z21 Ventures, an early-stage venture capital (VC) firm, has completed the initial investment round of its $40 million Fund II, raising $20 million (Rs 167 crore) from its primary investor, WestBridge Capital.
The firm has announced its plan to also seek additional funding from “leading operators and experts who will mentor and support founders”.
In a press release, z21 Ventures expressed its aim to raise a total of $40 million for the fund, with a focus on investing in pre-seed and seed-stage companies with strong teams, innovative technologies, and large market technologies.

Moreover, the firm has highlighted its complete utilization of its inaugural $5 Mn Fund I in June 2024, during which it invested in 26 startups through this fund. This includes notable companies like vHub.ai, Launcheazy, Gaana AI.
z21 Ventures, established in 2022 by the co-founders of Innovaccer, former executive at Glassdoor Jyotika Gupta, co-founder of LetsTransport Sudarshan Ravi Jha, and Raj Singh, the co-founder of International Battery Company, is a venture capital firm that supports early-stage technology startups in various sectors, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and more.
