Mumbai-based health tech startup Qure.AI has raised $65 million in a Series D funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and 360 ONE Asset Management. The round also saw participation from new investors, Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, and Kae Capital, alongside existing backers such as Novo Holdings, Health Quad, and TeamFund. The funds will be directed toward expanding Qure.AI’s presence in the U.S. and other markets, developing its generative AI models, and pursuing strategic acquisitions.
Founded in 2016, Qure.AI specializes in using artificial intelligence to assist in diagnosing critical diseases such as tuberculosis, lung cancer, and strokes, claiming to outperform human radiologists in certain diagnostic tasks. The startup‘s products are deployed in over 3,000 imaging centers across more than 90 countries and have received regulatory approval for use in the U.S. and the European Union. CEO Prashant Warier emphasized AI’s growing role in overcoming healthcare bottlenecks, including drug discovery, patient management, and robotic surgery.
This funding will bolster Qure.AI’s efforts to expand its AI-powered diagnostic tools, reinforcing its position in the global healthcare ecosystem.
