EcoRatings, a pioneering cleantech startup, has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding from a diverse group of investors, including We Founder Circle, 888 VC, Vinners, Indigram Labs Foundation, and Google. The investment, comprising both equity and grants, will fuel EcoRatings’ mission to advance sustainability solutions.
Co-founder and CEO, Aditi Balbir, outlined the company’s plans for the funding, emphasizing the acquisition of paid data sources, expansion of tokens, and introduction of multi-modal capabilities.
Founded in 2023 by Balbir, Aqeel Ahmed, and Shruti Anand, EcoRatings utilizes AI/ML and Big Data technologies to quantify the environmental impact of products and services. Rooted in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and ESG norms, EcoRatings addresses the growing consumer demand for transparency in product sustainability.
Balbir highlighted the unique capabilities of their Gen AI platform, tailored to assist organizations in meeting sustainability goals, expressing excitement about enhancing their large language model specific to the sustainability domain.
EcoRatings’ Unified Knowledge Platform leverages extensive datasets to deliver real-time insights, aiding organizations in sustainable decision-making across various sectors. With over 50 paying clients, EcoRatings emphasizes its domain-specific large language model, akin to ChatGPT but focused on sustainability.
