Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared photographs and remarks from the Padma Awards ceremony, describing the event as a celebration of “pride, gratitude and inspiration” as distinguished personalities from diverse fields were honoured for their contributions to the nation.
Posting on social media platform X, Modi wrote, “Attended the Padma Awards ceremony today. The ceremony was filled with pride, gratitude and inspiration as distinguished personalities from diverse fields were honoured for their exceptional contributions to society and our nation.”
In a separate post, the Prime Minister added, “India’s strength lies in such remarkable individuals whose work enriches our collective journey. Here are some more glimpses from the Padma ceremony.”
The photographs shared by Modi captured award recipients, dignitaries and guests gathered at Rashtrapati Bhavan during the ceremony. Several images also showed the Prime Minister interacting personally with awardees and applauding their achievements.
The Padma Awards, among India’s highest civilian honours, recognise exceptional service across disciplines including art, literature, science, medicine, public affairs, social work and sports. The annual ceremony is attended by senior government leaders, cultural figures, and award recipients from across the country.
This year’s event once again highlighted contributions from individuals whose work has had a lasting social, cultural and national impact, with the ceremony drawing widespread attention online after the Prime Minister shared moments from the occasion.
