Nurse Allegedly Gang-Raped After Knocking on Wrong Hotel Room!

Police arrested three men accused of gang-raping a nurse at a hotel after she mistakenly entered their room.

Police on Thursday arrested three men for allegedly gang-raping a 30-year-old nurse who mistakenly knocked on their hotel room near the railway station area late Wednesday night, officials said.

The accused, Ghanshyam Rathod (27), Rishikesh Chavan (25) and Kiran Rathod (25), were taken into custody by Vedant Nagar police and remanded to four days of police custody. Investigators said the incident occurred between 11 pm on Wednesday and around 3 am on Thursday.

According to police, the woman had come to the hotel to meet a friend who had promised her financial assistance. While returning from a phone call, she allegedly went to the wrong floor and knocked on room 205 instead of 105. The room was occupied by the three accused, who were drinking alcohol.

“The preliminary probe revealed that the accused trio are friends and had gathered at the hotel room to drink liquor. The victim mistakenly reached their room 205, instead of 105,” Inspector Pravina Yadav said.

Police said the men allegedly pulled the woman inside, locked the door, forced her to consume alcohol and sexually assaulted her. She managed to escape in the early hours and lodged a complaint soon after.
