JioFinance has made a significant move towards global expansion by enabling payments in Paris. The JioFinance app can now be used for transactions at select tourist attractions in the French capital, marking the company’s first international venture.
Indian travelers can now use JioFinance to purchase tickets for the Eiffel Tower through its official website, La Tour Eiffel, Jio announced on Tuesday, August 6. Additionally, the app will facilitate in-store payments at Galeries Lafayette Paris Hausmann.
A dedicated experience center for JioFinance has been established at ‘India House,’ created by Reliance Foundation in partnership with the Indian Olympic Association. India House showcases Indian heritage and serves as a venue for Indian athletes and visitors during the Olympic Games.
JioFinance’s partnership with Visa, the official payments partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, ensures its presence at India House. The app offers features such as instant UPI payments, digital banking, wallet services, bill payments, and insurance broking.
“Designed for frictionless navigation, JioFinance aims to offer a refined digital experience for all Indians at every step of their financial journey. The app caters to users across levels of familiarity with financial technology, ensuring effortless money management at their fingertips,” Jio said in a release.
This international expansion marks a milestone for JioFinance as it aims to provide a seamless financial experience for Indians traveling abroad.
