Tesla CEO Elon Musk Says We Need More Oil And Gas

  • Elon Musk competing with gas-guzzling cars, oil, and coal, is now publicly favoring increasing oil and gas production.
  • Elon Musk tweets the need for gas and oil by saying that extraordinary times demand extraordinary actions.
  • Reports say that he is likely referring to the world’s significant dependence on Russian pipelines.

Elon Musk, the man whose Tesla and Tesla Solar have dedicated their existence to challenges with gas-guzzling cars, oil, and coal and reached the market briefly with the cap of $1 trillion and delivered nearly 1 million EVs last year. These plants are now publicly asking in the favor of increasing oil and gas production.

On late Friday, he tweeted, “I hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately. But unfortunately, extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures.” After this one, he again tweeted that “obviously this would negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions cannot react instantaneously to make up for Russian oil and gas exports.”

In his last tweet, he is most likely alluding to the world’s significant reliance on Russian pipelines. This dependency hasn’t stopped many nations from sanctioning Russia in the aftermath of its invasion of Ukraine but has generated concerns about rising energy prices, especially in Europe.

When Musk posts things on Twitter, it’s impossible to know if he’s riffing, trolling, or truly putting plans into action, but there’s no doubting his clout. So many of his 76 million followers take him seriously even when he’s kidding.

It’s not like oil and gas don’t play a role in Musk’s ideas. Last year, we told you about SpaceX’s plans to dig for natural gas near their Starship facility in Texas. Musk’s rockets don’t take off because of electricity.

Why did Musk Suddenly talk about more gas and oil?

Last year, Musk told Joe Rogan on a podcast, “I’m not in favor of bashing the oil and gas business.” “We will be using fossil fuels for a long time.” The question is, “How speedily can we change over to a supportable energy in the future?”

On Friday, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, cautioned Ukrainians to exercise caution when using the Starlink satellite system, warning that Russians may attack his commercial Internet network and disrupt the entire system’s operation.

As per the released statements of Musk, the Starlink satellite internet service has a massive chance of being attacked because it is a non-Russian communications infrastructure.

Is the targeted?

The very crucial thing about his project is that Starlink is the only non-Russian communications working in some parts of Ukraine, so maybe the plants are probably being targeted, and the possibilities are high. So, he tweeted about this by warning that please use it with caution.

He encouraged consumers only to utilize Starlink when necessary. “Only use Starlink when necessary, and keep the antenna as far away from people as possible,” Musk said, adding that antennae should be hidden.

Amid the situation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Elon Musk’s SpaceX provided a truck full of Starlink user terminals to Ukraine, as promised.

What about the Musk’s Solar Company?

Many of Musk’s long-term goals revolve around solar energy. As the cost of solar technology drops, the SpaceX, Tesla, and Boring Company CEO will likely spend even more, sending a powerful message to other corporate and community leaders throughout the world.

Musk’s remarks also highlight some fascinating solar energy and nuclear fusion research facts. He explained that the sun is a naturally occurring fusion reactor that produces vast amounts of energy in technical ways. The only inner planet with appropriate protection from the sun is Earth, shielded by a thick yet habitable atmosphere powered by its internal energy source, the spinning dynamo of our molten iron core.
