SpaceX Crew Dragon Picks four Astronauts to the International Space Station

On the past Sunday, four astronauts entered into space using the SpaceX Crew Dragon for satisfying the many year’s dreams of NASA of appointing members in the International Space Station.

A SpaceX Crew Dragon Capsule is now in orbit. And it is expected by the members of NASA where this spacecraft would reach the International Space Station on a Monday at 11 pm with the NASA astronauts namely Michael Hopkins, Victor Glover, Shannon walker, and a Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi. But, this spacecraft will slowly move towards its destination by spending 27 hours in the rotation of the orbit.

At first, NASA planned and decided to launch this spacecraft on Saturday. Initially, they prepared International Space Station for receiving the SpaceX vehicle in eight hours which is considered as the very short duration of this space trip. Due to the interruption of Hurricane Eta, a bad weather condition spoiled this plan, and all the officials of NASA finally decided to launch this spacecraft on Sunday evening.

The NASA officials from Houston, Texas, Hawthorne, and California are now monitoring the journey of complete automated space vehicle SpaceX that holds a capsule with the facility of the working restroom which allows astronauts to reduce stress and relax for some time.

Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken are the two astronauts of NASA. Both of them were involved in the test mission held on last May and following its success. This automated crewed mission for SpaceX sets the new landmark for the various NASA project.

But, it is not a real test mission. This is because SpaceX’s Crew Dragon proved that it is capable of carrying all kinds of astronauts last week and it is considered as worthy spacecraft for involving in several routine space trips.

Let us consider that Walker and Noguchi are experts in Physics in this mission. During their six months stay at International Space Station, the crew1 members are likely to perform experiments like finding the way of microgravity that affects tissues of the human heart. For encouraging more researches and various studies on space, they will be trying to grow food vegetables like radishes in space.

Initially, NASA would not make sure of members who are involving in the basic functions of a rocket launch on Sunday after SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweets that he was experiencing the symptoms of Covid-19.

But, the officials concluded that they had no reason for getting upset because this activity was ended by the night of the Friday session. The next day, Musk told me that he was suffering from the Covid-19 case, and it was not severely attacked him.

After the return of the space shuttle program in 2011, the United States of America is supposed to spend nearly ten years trying to launch spacecraft with astronauts, and NASA had a critical situation to trust Soyuz. This Russian spacecraft demanded several billion dollars to involve more astronauts in International Space Station. In 2009, there are 13 astronauts allowed for travelling in a spacecraft and entering into a space station at a time. Due to the arrival of several occasions, this number has been reduced to a certain limit, and they need only fewer people for carrying and following some experiments and maintaining the International Space Station. It is expected that several future experiments will include seven more members.

The commercial Crew Program of NASA introduced SpaceX which contains the high-tech Crew Dragon Capsule. In the history of the space agency, it is noted that this program handed the entire design, structure, maintenance, development, and entire testing phase of newly made human spacecraft to the private sector for the first time. For completing the mission, NASA was involved in the fixed-price contracts and eagerly sponsored 2.6 billion dollars for SpaceX spacecraft and 4.2 billion dollars for Boeing space vehicle. Due to the identification of major software issues and disadvantages in the test mission held on last year, this company detains the process of the development of Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. But some officials give hope that this spacecraft will launch next year.

Space X and Boeing are considered as the technical owners of these vehicles, and NASA is likely to buy several missions for customers.

By using this spacecraft, this company will also plan to conduct several space tours for tourists, private researchers, or any other person by offering a ticket price of more than 50 million dollars.

In previous days, much serious debate, contention, and quarrels have occurred during the discussion of this plan and idea in the Commercial Crew Program. But Crew Dragon’s success is considered a huge win for NASA and it will make them too expect more members are agreeing with this contract and plan for supporting this firm to satisfy their necessary goals of this space agency.
