SaaS unicorn LeadSquared noted a loss of Rs 162.2 crore in FY24, a marginal increase from the Rs 161 crore loss incurred the previous year. Despite the higher losses, the company’s revenue from operations rose by 9% to Rs 279.3 crore in FY24, up from Rs 255.9 crore in FY23, as per filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Founded in 2011 by Nilesh Patel, Sudhakar Gorti, and Prashant Singh, LeadSquared offers sales and marketing automation software to businesses across sectors such as healthcare, edtech, and BFSI.

The company’s total expenses increased by 6.6% YoY, reaching Rs 486.45 crore in FY24 from Rs 456.2 crore in FY23. Employee benefits expenses saw a 12.7% rise and amounted to Rs 306.2 crore, up from Rs 271.8 crore in the previous year.

Moreover, LeadSquared’s total revenue surged to Rs 325.2 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 296.2 crore in FY23. The company had previously raised around $153 million in a Series C funding round led by WestBridge Capital that valued it at $1 billion. Existing investors such as Gaja Capital also participated in the round.

At the time of the round, LeadSquared claimed to have a customer base of over 2,000 clients, with a global presence spanning New Jersey, South Africa, the Philippines, Australia, and Indonesia.
