Hyperlocal search engine Justdial‘s financial statements for Q1 FY25 indicate that its net profits have grown by 69% from Rs 83.4 crore in Q1 FY24 to Rs 141.22 crore in June 2024 with a sequential surge of 22% as compared to Rs 115.65 crore in Q4 FY24.
The operating revenue for the same period grew by 14% from Rs 246.98 crore to Rs 280.57 crore, while it surged by 3% from Rs 270.27 crore in Q4 FY24.
Total revenue for the June quarter of the current financial year was Rs 367.44 crore, 12% more as compared to Rs 328.38 crore in the same period last year. The company claims that Its EBITDA also surged by 120% YoY to Rs 80.6 crore from Rs 36.6 crore, with margins expanding 1,389 basis points YoY and 261 basis points on QoQ-basis on account of cost efficiencies and top-line growth.
The company’s expenses expenses dropped by 4% from Rs 222.27 crore in Q1 FY24 to Rs 213.55 crore in Q1 FY25. Major factors accounting for it were the cuts in employee expenses going down by 5% from Rs 182.55 crore to Rs 172.87 crore in the same period.
Its total visitor traffic reached the 181.3 million mark, increasing by 5.7% YoY and 6% QoQ. Desktop/PCs accounted for 11.3% of the total traffic, while mobiles and voice platforms contributed 3% and 3.5% in the same order.
The reports also indicate that Justdial received 1.37 million fresh listings with its active listing increasing to 44.9 million in June quarter showing a 18.2% YoY and 3.2% QoQ growth.
Reliance Retail-owned Justdial was found in 1993 by VSS Mani, which operates as a B2C & B2B listing provider for small and medium businesses, available across the channels of internet, telephone, and SMS.
