Blinkit Q1 FY25: Revenue Surges 145% YoY, Rs 253 Cr in Net Profit

Blinkit has posted Rs 942 crore in revenue in Q1 FY24 with a 145% YoY surge from Rs 384 crore in Q1 FY24. It jumped 22.4% QoQ from Rs 769 crore in Q4 FY24.

Zomato’s quick commerce vertical’s adjusted EBITDA loss significantly improved from Rs 133 crore in Q1 FY24 to Rs 3 crore in Q1 FY25 and Rs 37 crore in Q4 FY24.

The quick commerce’s gross order value (GOV) jumped 130% to Rs 4,923 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 2,140 crore in Q1 FY24 while it grew 22.2% QoQ from Rs 4,027 crore in the quarter ended March 2024. The number of orders in the period was 78.8 million.

Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa said, “Our average GOV per store has grown from about Rs 6 lakh per day per store when we were at 383 stores exactly a year ago, to about Rs 10 lakh today when we are at 639 stores. For our top 50 stores today, this number is Rs 18 lakh per day per store, and growing.”

Its average order value (AOV) was Rs 625 in Q1 FY25, up from Rs 617 in the preceding quarter while its dark store count also increased QoQ from 526 to 639. Blinkit’s average monthly transacting users went up from 6.4 million in the last quarter to 7.6 million in the quarter under review.

Zomato’s Q4 FY24 financial statements had stated that Blinkit turned its adjusted EBITDA positive in March 2024. Subsequently, it has maintained the adjusted break-even achieved in March despite the investments in new store openings as per the shareholder letter that came out today.
