Social Hardware, a tech startup focused on creating assistive technologies, bionic solutions, and robotics for the field, has secured a seed funding of Rs 3.2 crore led by Inflection Point Ventures. Ivyleague Ventures and Soonicorn Ventures have also participated in this round.

This funding will be used in scaling the business, helping go-to-market plans, building a strong sales and marketing team, setting up a research and development center, enhancing internal production capabilities, and boosting research and development activities.

Established by Abhit Kumar, Cameron Norris, and Raghavendran Arunachalam, Social Hardware designs teleoperated robotic systems for dangerous tasks. The company caters to sectors like manufacturing, infrastructure, defense, and aerospace, offering cutting-edge technologies that improve safety and operational effectiveness in tough conditions.

The startup employs a team of 17 people across two locations in Bengaluru, including a main office in Hebbal and a research and development center in Rajajinagar. At present, Social Hardware is capable of producing 12 units for FY25, with plans to increase this to 36 units by FY26, with an aim to achieve a revenue target of Rs 24.76 crore.
