OneCell Diagnostics, a cancer diagnostics startup, has raised $16 million in its Series A fundraising round led by Celesta Capital. According to the company, the fresh capital will be utilized to bring OncoIndx Alfa, a next-generation liquid biopsy test that finds circulating tumor cells, to the US market.
The round also included participation from Eragon, Singularity Ventures, Cedars Sinai, and Tenacity Ventures.

OneCell, which was founded in 2021, develops multi-omics biomarkers through the use of data analytics, AI/ML, powerful bioinformatics, and next-generation sequencing. OneCell has partnerships with Tata Memorial Centre and the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, according to its website. Stanford University and Harvard Medical School are only two of its strategic academic and business partners.
The company has tested its cell biopsy technology on about 10,000 people in India thus far, and has already launched a number of solutions.
