Metadome.ai, an extended reality (XR) startup (formerly known as Adloid) has secured $6.5 million in an equity and debt round in its Series A funding round led by Siana Capita and Chiratae Ventures, two of its prior investors.

Joining the new round of funding were Alteria Capital, 3to-1 Capital, and Manish Choksi’s family office. Metadome.ai said in a press release that the company intends to use the investment to extend its operations to new territories and build capacities for the delivery of inherently sophisticated XR services fused with AI. Specifically, the company wants to continue operations in the US, SE Asia, and the Middle East.

In December the startup secured its pre-Series A round of funding of $4 million led by Chiratae Ventures. The Gurugram-based startup was established in 2016 by Kanav Singla and Shorya Mahajan to offer VR and AR solutions for sales enablement in sectors such as home decor, e-commerce, and mobility. Some of its clients include Hewlett Packard (HP), Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Asian Paints, and many others.

Metadome.ai has been expanding at a steady pace and it has more than doubled its customers over the previous year according to the firm in the release. Lately, Metadome.ai collaborated with Hippo Homes and provided Virtual Reality services at its newly established store in Greater Noida to let customers check out the home improvement.

Statista has reported that the XR industry has been dealing with substantial attention from investors internationally. According to the report, the space got an investment of $1. 9 billion, discussing how 3D, AR, and VR have a significant role in enhancing the buyer and post-purchase process.

The firm is also part of NVIDIA’s Inception and Google Startup programs. Some of the emerging companies in the extended reality space from India that can be identified are SmartVizX, Liminal, Embright Infotech, Scapic, and GMetri.
