KisaanSay Nets $2M to Expand Farm-to-Table Operations

Cross-category direct-from-origin food brand, KisaanSay has bagged $2 million in its pre-seed fundraising round headed by Jungle Ventures through First Cheque@Jungle. The fresh funding will be used to increase the firm’s operations, develop a staff, and improve its marketing strategies, with an emphasis on growing the company’s product line and distribution network.

Few senior executives from the food business also participated in the pre-seed fundraising round.

The Nitin Puri, Manoj Karki and Vaishali Mehta-led KisaanSay helps close the gap between farmers and consumers. The 2022 founded business ensures that every product is farmed, minimally processed, and packed at its place of origin by collaborating with farmer collectives in natural farming clusters across mountain valleys, woods, tribal areas, and drylands.

With a portfolio of more than 80 proucts in 12 categories, the business works with 20 farmer collectives that represent over 50,000 farmers through a special co-brand and co-profit partnership model. E-commerce sites, its own direct-to-consumer channel, and retail locations in Delhi NCR are all part of its omnichannel distribution.

The company has an authorized share capital of ₹1.08 crore and a paid-up capital of ₹87.45 lakh. It’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was last held on 27 September 2024, and its balance sheet was last filed on 31 March 2024, as per the records of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
