Proptech startup JUSTO Realfintech has reportedly secured a $7 million (approximately Rs 58.8 crore) investment from Arbour Investments, a leading investment management firm, in a combination of equity and debt funding.
Out of this total, $5 million is being invested as equity, while the remaining $2 million is being provided in the form of debt, as reported by Moneycontrol. JUSTO intends to use the funds from this investment to fuel its expansion and enhance its market presence, as mentioned in the report.
As part of the investment, Arbour Investments has appointed Mehta and Priyesh Chheda, co-founders of Arbour Investments, to JUSTO Realfintech’s board of directors.
“The stake acquisition helps us on multiple fronts. Before we invest in any real estate project, we need to conduct due diligence, and Justo can help us in that process with their market intelligence. It can also help us better negotiate with the developers we are investing in, and can also provide a sales partner for the projects we are investing in. For us, recovery of our investment is important, and thus we can also loop in our sales risk,” Mehta explained.
He further mentioned that JUSTO’s presence in cities like Pune, along with its partnerships with leading developers in the area, opens up opportunities for Arbour Investments to connect with other developers for potential investments.
Established in 2019 by Pushpamitra Das and Rahul Pande, JUSTO Realfintech specializes in providing comprehensive solutions to assist real estate developers in boosting sales, particularly for large-scale housing projects.
The Mumbai-based company operates in several key cities including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, and Nashik. It claims to have delivered 9,000 housing units, which have collectively generated sales of more than Rs 6,000 crore.
Capital market experts Sanjay Gaitonde and Mahavir Mehta, who are also part of Arbour Investments, played a crucial role in securing the investment for JUSTO Realfintech.
“With Arbour’s financial backing and strategic insights, we are poised to accelerate our growth trajectory, expand our market presence, and continue delivering exceptional value to our clients,” Pushpamitra Das, the founder and director of JUSTO Realfintech, stated.
Regarding Arbour’s future investment plans, Mehta mentioned that the firm has already signed agreements for investments worth approximately Rs 350 crore, with a pipeline of investments totaling around Rs 1,000 crore, including both real estate and non-real estate ventures.
