Furnishka Pockets Rs 27 Cr In Pre-Series A Funding

Furniture retailer Furnishka has secured Rs 27 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round, led by IndiaQuotient, increasing its total funding to Rs 45 crore. Sparrow Capital along with angel investors such as Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar and Ramakant Sharma also participated in the round.

The funds will be utilised in improving product design and development, strengthening manufacturing and supply chain operations, and opening new stores.

Founded in 2023 by Ganesh Pawar, Furnishka aims to simplify the intricate home furnishing market in India by tackling challenges like extended delivery periods, high expenses, and inconsistent service quality. It provides an effortless shopping journey through its online and brick-and-mortar stores in Bengaluru, offering a vast selection of over 1,000 unique items and the ability to customize designs at reasonable prices.

Market analysis suggests that the Indian furniture industry is expected to grow from $24.47 billion in 2023 to $64.39 billion by 2032, with an average growth rate of 11.35% from 2024 to 2032.

The startup has concentrated on innovation in the supply chain, standardization, localization, and cost reduction strategies to offer high-quality furniture at affordable prices. In its initial year, the company has served more than 10,000 customers and operates four large-scale stores in Bangalore, displaying a broad range of products.

Furnishka intends to broaden its product lines, especially in high-end living room, dining room, and bedroom collections, open six more large-scale stores, and develop educational content to assist customers in making well-informed decisions about their home furnishings. The company offers thousands of customization options to meet a variety of tastes and needs.
