Flam, an AI-powered mixed reality (MR) publishing platform, has announced raising Rs 38 crore ($4.5 million) in a pre-series A funding round.
The investment was led by Turbostart, alongside AI-focused Twin Ventures, Alphatron Capital, and notable angel investors, along with various family offices. Existing backers such as Inventus Capital Partners, SVQ, and 9Unicorns also participated in the round.
The fresh funding will fuel Flam’s global expansion into North America, Europe, and the MENA region, following the viral success of its MR ad featuring Ranveer Singh. Shourya Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Flam, emphasized MR’s growing importance in brand marketing strategies worldwide.
Flam’s technology, designed for scalability, boasts the fastest image recognition and top-tier image and ground tracking, powered by advanced AI algorithms. Ganesh Raju, Founder of Turbostart, praised Flam for its seamless consumer experience, eliminating friction with its device-agnostic platform that requires no headsets, app downloads, or web AR.
Flam’s platform operates smoothly on all Android and iOS mobile devices, enabling rapid creation and deployment of MR content.
