Khosla Ventures led a $30 million (about ₹252 crore) Series A fundraising round for the health-tech startup Even Healthcare, with participation from Founders Fund, 8VC, and Lachy Groom, among others. The organization will use the fresh capital to improve hospital operations and streamline patient care and recourse procedures.
Co-founder of Even Healthcare Matilde Giglio stated, “Our health plans have grown aggressively in both B2B and B2C segments, with a 95% customer retention rate. To sustain this momentum, we will continue to invest in our delivery systems, technology, and customer-friendly products.”
Even Healthcare, led by Mayank Banerjee, Matilde Giglio, and Alessandro Lalongo, offers a membership model that includes cashless hospitalization, diagnostic testing, and unlimited free consultations.
For an annual cost of ₹4,800, the membership includes consultations for chronic condition treatment, lifestyle management, and episodic care. Health insurance is also an option for hospital treatment. The firm also intends to establish three hospitals in Bengaluru that specialize in secondary treatment.
Through early risk assessment and managed care, the company would be able to offer a vertically integrated “payvider” (payer + provider) model, which is a first in India, the statement continued.
“Even pioneered this approach in India, which is quite new. “There will be more traction in this space”, said Giglio, as reported by Inc42. She added that the company alone earned $15 million in 2022 and received $5 million in funding in 2021.
The 2020-founded firm reports that it has raised $50 million so far and generated $9 million in revenue in FY24.
