Gen-Z clothing delivery app Slikk has secured funding of $ 300,000 in its pre-seed round spearheaded by Better Capital, with additional support from Untitledxyz Ventures.
The funds are set to be used for the expansion of Slikk’s operations, aiming to include over 100 brands, establish a large-scale dark store, and enhance delivery services to cover 70% of Bangalore’s postal codes, as announced in a press statement. Moreover, the company intends to broaden its reach to other major cities in India and diversify its product offerings to include beauty, personal care, and home decor items.
Under the leadership of Akshay Gulati, Slikk offers a daily selection of fresh styles, enabling users to stay abreast of the latest fashion trends. To remain in sync with the fast-paced fashion industry, Slikk ensures the delivery of the latest fashion trends directly to its customers’ doorsteps, with new collections being introduced weekly.
It is initially functional in Bengaluru, with plans to expand its services to other cities shortly.
Market research indicates that the Indian apparel market is set to grow to $105.50 billion by 2024, with the fast fashion segment projected to increase from $9.90 billion in 2023 to $28.84 billion by 2030, according to a report.
