Beco Secures $10M in Pre-Series B Funding Led by Tanglin Venture Partners

Beco, an eco-friendly home, kitchen, and personal care brand based in Mumbai, has successfully raised $10 million in its pre-Series B funding round, led by Tanglin Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from Titan Capital Winners Fund, Manish Choksi, a promoter of Asian Paints, and existing investors Rukam Capital and Synergy Capital.

The newly raised capital will be directed towards several key areas, including product innovation, expanding production capacity, and building a robust offline sales infrastructure in strategic geographies. Additionally, the funds will be used to enhance brand awareness and further establish Beco’s presence in the market.

Founded in 2019 by Aditya Ruia, Akshay Varma, and Anuj Ruia, Beco has distinguished itself as a pure eco-friendly and zero-plastic company. The brand offers a wide array of products, including tissues, towel rolls, and toiletries, all aimed at promoting sustainable living.

Beco has reported an impressive 3x growth over the past year, now boasting a presence in 10,000 retail stores across India. The company claims that its order values are on par with, or even surpass, those of established legacy brands.

In just five years, Beco has secured a strong foothold in the e-commerce and quick commerce sectors, partnering with platforms like Amazon, Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and DMart Ready. The brand is also available in general trade across 20 cities and has recently entered the modern trade segment, with plans to expand to additional major players by the end of the current quarter.
