Aye Finance Secures $25 Mn from Goldman Sachs to Fuel Business Expansion

Aye Finance, backed by British International Investment, has secured $25 million (₹212 crore) from Goldman Sachs (India) Finance through a securitisation deal aimed at boosting business expansion. The transaction, structured via pass-through certificates backed by Aye Finance’s loan portfolio to micro enterprises, was announced on Tuesday.

The fintech lender, which serves micro enterprises across India, has disbursed over ₹10,000 crore in credit to around 9 lakh grassroots businesses. The new funding will further accelerate the company’s growth, freeing up capital for expansion initiatives, according to Aye Finance CFO Krishan Gopal.

For FY24, Aye Finance recorded a net profit of ₹161 crore, a nearly threefold increase, alongside a 67% rise in revenue to ₹1,072 crore. The company counts CapitalG, Elevation Capital, Lightrock, Alpha Wave, A91 Partners, and MAJ Invest among its investors.

With this securitisation deal, it strengthens its financial capabilities, positioning itself to continue its support for India’s micro-enterprise sector.
