Scaler, a prominent education provider in India, has allocated Rs 50 crore towards the development of its newly established Scaler School of Business (SSB).
These funds are designated for building offline infrastructure, designing and updating curriculum, establishing industry partnerships, and onboarding world-class leaders as coaches, mentors, and instructors.
The recent Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) campus workforce trends 2024 study highlighted the persistent issue of high attrition rates among MBA graduates, particularly in entry-level positions at top-tier campuses.
The report emphasizes the need for educational institutions to equip students with the multifaceted skills required to thrive in the digital age. Traditional MBA programs, often led by academic scholars, tend to focus on theoretical business principles.
Despite efforts to incorporate practical skills through case studies, these methods frequently fall short in preparing graduates for the fast-paced business world. The Scaler School of Business aims to address these challenges directly.
Scaler School of Business is positioned as India’s first business school created by industry leaders for future industry leaders. The school offers a meticulously crafted curriculum that aligns with the realities of modern tech and innovation-driven businesses.
The full-time Postgraduate Programme in Management and Technology combines theoretical rigor with practical application. Students will benefit from industry-driven evaluations, case studies from partner companies, immersive internships, and exposure to emerging technologies like AI and allied industries.
This approach aims to make graduates significantly more efficient and tech-enabled compared to the average MBA graduate.
Additionally, the Scaler Innovation Lab, an on-campus incubator, will be accessible to SSB students. This platform allows them to develop and present prototypes, products, apps, and MVPs, providing a unique opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial and innovative skills to top investment firms in the country.
The program is tailored for both technical and non-technical job opportunities and is suitable for working professionals with a few years of experience as well as fresh graduates.
The founding cohort, comprising 75 to 100 handpicked students, will commence in August 2024. Scaler’s extensive network of over 900 employer partners, including leading tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Zomato, Airtel, Wells Fargo, and PayPal, will be leveraged to help SSB students build sustainable careers.
Located in Electronic City, Bengaluru, the SSB campus shares its premises with the Scaler School of Technology. This co-location fosters unique collaboration opportunities between management and technology professionals, providing a comprehensive learning experience for all students.
