The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced three significant initiatives, including the Pravaah portal, the Retail Direct Mobile App, and a FinTech Repository, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility and efficiency in financial services.
Pravaah, a secure web-based portal, offers individuals and entities a streamlined process to seek authorization, licenses, or regulatory approvals from the RBI. The platform enables online application submission, real-time application tracking, and prompt decision-making by the Reserve Bank.
The Retail Direct Mobile App complements the existing Retail Direct Scheme, allowing retail investors to conveniently trade in government Securities (G-Secs) directly from their smartphones. Available on both Android and iOS platforms, the mobile app facilitates seamless participation in primary auctions and secondary market transactions.
Furthermore, the FinTech Repository serves as a comprehensive database gathering vital information on FinTech firms, their activities, and technological applications. Intended for both licensed and unregulated FinTechs, the repository encourages active participation to foster collaboration and innovation in the financial sector.
These initiatives underscore RBI’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion, promoting technological advancements, and strengthening regulatory processes in the Indian financial landscape.
