Member-based gym facility, DRIVE FITT joins hands with Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and Indian cricketer Shubman Gill as co-founders to shock the $40Bn worth market in India.
Powered by Mark Sellar and Deke Smith, DRIVE FITT is fusion of cricket training facilities featuring high-tech bowling machines in the nets with yoga studios & holistic fitness coaching for strength, conditioning,and cardio programming complemented by gym amenities with plans to open its flagship facility later this year.
The Indian fitness market is expected to touch approximately $9.5 billion by 2025, according to a report published in October last year.
In addition, DRIVE FITT will also offer a per day pass and several membership options including monthly, quarterly (3 months), half yearly, annual plans as well as family memberships! The daily pass is priced around Rs1,000, monthly memberships will start at 7k and yearly ones can go up to 35k. A family membership will consist of two adults and one or two children.
Physical fitness aggregator DRIVE FITT has brought on Nikhil Kakkar — formerly COO of Gold’s Gym India and head or international business development at Riva Digital Consultants & WIN – as its Chief Operating Officer. Kakkar, a 16-year Gold’s Gym veteran, will run the day-to-day operations and handle franchising for the brand. Gill would make the items for his brand with Chris Lynn and Ryan Harris, two Australian cricketers.
The chain is soon to open its flagship in Gurugram this October followed by a Noida property later for November. The platform aims to establish 300 franchises across India within the next three years.
