Prahlad Krishnamurthi Leaves Cleartrip to Become NextBuy’s New CEO

Following a nine-year tenure, Prahlad Krishnamurthi has resigned from his position as Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Cleartrip, a travel aggregator owned by the Flipkart Group.

As of now At NextBuy, a service provided by Bizongo that offers supply chain finance to companies, especially MSMEs, SMEs, and large organizations, Krishnamurthi will now assume the role of CEO.

“After 9 amazing years with the Flipkart family, it’s time for me to take on a new challenge. I’m excited to share that I’ll be moving on from my role as Chief Business Officer at Cleartrip to become the CEO of NextBuy at Bizongo!” Krishnamurthi stated in a LinkedIn post. He further added, “The past decade has been a wild ride, and I’ve learned more than I ever imagined. While I’ll miss the incredible folks I’ve worked with, I’m excited for what’s next at Bizongo. Leading NextBuy is going to be a new kind of journey and I can’t wait to dive in with the team to solve for B2B e-commerce in India! Thanks to everyone who’s been a part of my Flipkart journey – I’m grateful beyond words”.

The online travel technology company Cleartrip was established in 2006 and provides services for making reservations for hotels, airlines, trains, and activities. It operates in Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia in addition to India, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Sri Lanka. Cleartrip stated at the end of April that its CFO was leaving for personal reasons. A month before it, Anuj Rathi of Jupiter Money was named CEO by Cleartrip.
