Paytm’s CHRO Swati Rustagi Poised to Join Adobe

Swati Rustagi, Chief Human Resources Officer at Paytm, is reportedly set to leave the digital payments giant and join Adobe, according to a report by Inc42. Rustagi is currently serving her notice period at Paytm, where she has been since April 2023 after a four-year tenure at Amazon.

Rustagi, an alumna of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, began her professional journey in 1997 with Hindustan Lever, where she served in various HR roles, including HR manager, employee relations manager, and corporate learning manager, over nine years.

In 2006, Rustagi joined DSP Merrill Lynch as Vice President of Human Resources, but a year later, she moved to Johnson & Johnson Medical as Director of Human Resources. During her three-year tenure there, she oversaw recruitment, learning and development, talent management, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits.

Following a brief stint at Patni Computer Systems in 2011, Rustagi joined Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as Global Head of Human Resources. She eventually rose to the position of Executive Vice President before taking a career break in 2015 to focus on motherhood.

Rustagi returned to the workforce in 2016 as Director and Chief People Officer at Max Healthcare. Two years later, she moved to Amazon, where she spent three years as Director of Human Resources in Bengaluru. In 2021, she was promoted to Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for international markets. By the time she transitioned to Paytm in April 2023, she held the position of Director of Talent Strategy and Leadership Development for worldwide stores.
