Marshall Wace Divests Stake in Paytm via INR 25 Crore Block Deal

UK-based hedge fund Marshall Wace has divested its stake in fintech giant Paytm in a block deal valued at INR 25 crore.

According to data from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Marshall Wace sold its shares at INR 428.05 per share. The shares were acquired by BNP Paribas Financial Markets, an affiliate of the global financial services firm BNP Paribas.

Paytm‘s shares have been on an upward trajectory over the past week, driven by positive developments related to its restructuring efforts. The stock closed the week 11.5% higher, ending at INR 424.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
