Good Glamm Group Completes 100% Acquisition of The Moms Co.

SUMMARY

  • The Good Glamm Group finalizes the complete acquisition of The Moms Co., a natural personal care brand, after acquiring the remaining founder shares over two years.
  • This follows strategic acquisitions, including Sirona Hygiene and increased stakes in Organic Harvest and Winkl, solidifying its presence in the beauty and wellness market.
  • The Good Glamm Group is South Asia’s first D2C beauty unicorn, backed by investors like Warburg Pincus, Prosus Ventures, and Amazon.

In a significant move to strengthen its dominance in the beauty and personal care industry, the Good Glamm Group has completed the 100% acquisition of The Moms Co., a brand known for its natural personal care products. The announcement signifies the culmination of a process initiated in October 2021, when the Group acquired a majority stake in The Moms Co. through a cash and stock deal.

The initial acquisition in 2021 facilitated partial exits for the brand’s founders and full exits for investors like DSG Capital and Saama Capital. Over the past two years, the Good Glamm Group acquired the remaining shares held by the founders, culminating in the full acquisition. After leading operations for a year post-acquisition, the founders stepped down from operational roles, handing over control to the Good Glamm Group’s central teams.

The acquisition aligns with the Good Glamm Group’s broader strategy to create a comprehensive beauty, wellness, and personal care ecosystem. This move follows the Group’s recent completion of the acquisition of Sirona Hygiene, a leading name in feminine hygiene and personal wellness. The Group also expanded its stakes in portfolio brands like Organic Harvest and Winkl, bolstering its market position.

Founded in September 2021 by Darpan Sanghvi, Priyanka Gill, and Naiyya Saggi, the Good Glamm Group became South Asia’s first D2C beauty unicorn. With a robust portfolio of beauty and personal care brands, the Group is backed by prominent investors, including Warburg Pincus, Prosus Ventures (Naspers), L’Occitane, Bessemer Venture Partners, Accel, and Amazon.

By integrating brands like The Moms Co. and Sirona Hygiene, the Good Glamm Group is well-positioned to dominate the fast-growing beauty and wellness market. Industry analysts anticipate further strategic expansions as the Group continues to innovate and scale operations.
