BlackRock & Jio Form JV for Investment Services

On September 8, Jio Financial Services Limited declared that it had formed a joint venture with BlackRock Advisors Singapore Private Limited to introduce Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers Private Limited, a new investment advisory firm. The JV was established on September 6, 2024, and, if all regulatory permits are obtained, it will concentrate on offering investment advising services. The business added that on September 7, 2024, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation.

The company will invest Rs. 3 crores towards the initial offer of 30 lakh equity shares, each with a face value of Rs. 10, as revealed by Jio Financial Services in a stock exchange filing. Although, the business plan’s specifics haven’t yet been disclosed.

Mukesh Ambani-led Jio Financial Services Ltd. has earlier announced a joint venture with BlackRock for India’s wealth management and broking business. NBFC division of Jio Financial Services, Jio Finance Ltd., declared last month that home loans, which are presently in beta testing, are about to be launched. The firm also intends to provide new products, such as loans backed by investments and loans against real estate.
