B2B manufacturing and supply chain support startup Groyyo has brought on board Smita Verma Kansal as its Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Alessandro Bertini as its Vice President – Commercial.
Kansal, with her background in sourcing and operations across various markets, is set to assist Groyyo in increasing its exports to the US and expanding into international markets. Before joining Groyyo, Kansal was the senior vice president and a founding member at B2B ecommerce startup Geniemode.
Bertini, with connections in the fashion sector, will contribute to the startup’s commercial strategies and partnerships. Bertini has worked with notable brands like MANGO, Massimo Dutti, and Zalando.
“With gross margins at 15% in FY24, we have strengthened our leadership by appointing Smita and Alex, whose experience in manufacturing and sourcing across Asia supports our mission to help SME manufacturers expand globally,” stated Groyyo’s chief executive, Subin Mitra.
Established in July 2021 by Mitra, Pratik Tiwari, and Ridam Upadhyay, Groyyo has collaborated with over 500 manufacturers across more than 175 product categories in over ten countries. Its platform, powered by AI, aims to enhance efficiency for over 360 factories. The company serves over 110 brands in nearly ten countries, with approximately 30-40% of its revenue coming from the US market.
The company reported a 19X increase in revenue to Rs 509.8 crore in FY23.
In January, Groyyo raised Rs 40 crore in debt financing from Lighthouse Canton and Trifecta Capital to improve its financial strength and advance its strategic plans.
