Amazon Web Services (AWS) has chosen seven Indian startups focusing on generative AI for its global accelerator program. Among the 80 companies selected by AWS for its global AI initiative are seven Indian startups: Convrse, House of Models, Neural Garage, Orbo.ai, Phot.ai, Unscript AI, and Zocket.

These selected startups will receive up to $1 million in AWS credits to work on, train, test, and launch their generative AI solutions. These credits can be used with Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, which are tools for creating and deploying generative AI applications.

To enhance their use of machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, the startups can also benefit from a range of AWS services to aid their development, including AWS computing, storage, and database services, along with AI chips such as AWS Trainium and AWS Inferentia 2, the company mentioned.

Amitabh Nagpal, the head of startup business development at AWS India, stated, “At AWS, our $230 million commitment and global expansion of the generative AI accelerator reflects our continued focus on supporting startups to develop, build and scale their unique ideas using generative AI.”

The 10-week-long program, announced in June, is a component of AWS’s $230 million investment in accelerating applications driven by generative AI globally.
