A woman shooter, 23 years old has alleged that she was raped at a hotel in Faridabad while visiting the city for a shooting competition, with police arresting three accused, including her friend, officials said on Thursday.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening after the competition concluded. The woman had arrived in Faridabad a day earlier with her friend to participate in the event. After the contest, her friend contacted an acquaintance, Gaurav, requesting him to drop them at a metro station. Gaurav arrived with another man, Satendra, following which the group decided to stay back overnight and booked two rooms at a hotel.
Police said the group later gathered in one room, where a party took place. The complainant alleged that around 9 pm, when her friend stepped out with Gaurav, Satendra raped her inside the room. On her friend’s return, the victim informed another acquaintance, locked the accused inside the room and alerted the police.
A police team reached the hotel and arrested Satendra, Gaurav and the woman’s friend. A case was registered at the Sarai Khawaja police station. All three were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody, Station House Officer Rakesh Kumar said.
