A monumental bronze statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, is taking shape in Moshi-Borhadewadi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra. Titled the Statue of Hindubhushan, the structure stands at a total height of 180 feet—with a 140-foot bronze figure atop a 40-foot pedestal—making it one of the tallest statues in the region.

The project is part of the Shambhu Srishti memorial complex, led by MLA Mahesh Landge, with the aim of commemorating Sambhaji Maharaj’s valor, sacrifice, and defense of Hindu dharma against Mughal invasions. The initiative has drawn widespread community support and is being positioned as a cultural landmark for Maharashtra.

Ahead of its formal unveiling, the statue was honored in September 2024 with a spectacular salute featuring 3,000 traditional dhols, symbolizing the warrior spirit of the Maratha legacy. Organizers emphasized that the statue will not only be a historical tribute but also a center for cultural pride, education, and tourism.

While final construction and official inauguration are still awaited, the towering presence of the statue has already captured public imagination. Once completed, it will serve as a national symbol of resilience and patriotism, drawing visitors from across India.
