Ati Motors, an industrial robotics business based in Bengaluru, has raised $20 million (₹172.7 crore) in a Series B fundraising round headed by NGP Capital (NGP) and Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV). With the fresh funding the company intends to increase product development and commercial presence in North America and Asia Pacific
Current investors such as Blume Ventures, Athera Venture Partners, Exfinity Venture Partners, and True Ventures also participated in the round.
“This funding will accelerate our ability to leverage our extensive real-world dataset to develop next-generation AI models and further advance our industrial autonomy platform,” said CEO of Ati Motors, Saurabh Chandra.
The business has expanded throughout the US, India, and Southeast Asia and recently opened operations in Mexico. In Detroit, Michigan, it is also presently growing its North American headquarters.
Founded in 2017 by Saurabh Chandra, Ati Motors is a producer of autonomous mobile robots that uses robotics technology to help firms across a range of industries maximize production and streamline operations. Clients of the business, which has so far concentrated on the automotive industry, include TVS Motor, CEAT, and Hyundai.
Ati Motors specializes in manufacturing, robotics, and AI. With numerous scaled deployments across North America, it has deployed a variety of Sherpa robots across 40 top manufacturers, including Forvia and Hyundai. The new revenue will also be used to leverage one of the biggest factory databases for autonomous mobility, speeding up the development and deployment of its robotic workforce.
