DesignX, a shopfloor hyper-automation company has secured $1 million in a pre-series A fundraising round spearheaded by Piper Serica Angel Fund. A press release states that the fresh funding will be utilized to establish its Df-OS platform in important regions, such as APAC, Japan, and Europe, and to become a lighthouse by emphasizing sustainability and AI-driven analytics.
The shopfloor hyper-automation firm, co-founded in 2015 by Rajat and Nishant Srivastava, focuses on hyper-automation for manufacturing shop floors. Through real-time data analytics, its flagship Df-OS technology assists lighthouse factories in increasing sustainability and productivity, which benefits industries like consumer electronics, FMCG, and automotive by cutting waste and carbon footprints.
Drawing comparisons to the revolutionary effects of 4G and UPI technologies, DesignX seeks to revolutionize manufacturing with no infrastructure investment. To solve obsolete procedures and insufficient infrastructure, the Df-OS platform drastically cuts down on the time and expense of updating industrial operations, enabling businesses to adjust to new expectations swiftly.
The startup has secured a total funding of ₹2 crore. For the fiscal year 2022-23, the company reported a revenue of ₹1.93 crore and incurred a loss of ₹62.12 lakhs. In 2021, the Noida-based business raised $300,000 in equity from Modular Capital, Accel, and a few investors in the manufacturing sector.
