Student housing startup Your-Space‘s revenue from operations saw a 21.8% increase to Rs 142.7 crore in FY24 from Rs 117.2 crore in FY23, as reported in its consolidated financial documents submitted to the Registrar of Companies.

Your-Space offers affordable apartments, hostels, and shared living spaces for both male and female students. It manages over 60 modern living areas equipped with advanced security features like facial recognition, biometric access, and digital locks.
Out of its total operating income, 99.5% came from its residential services, which saw a 30% rise to Rs 142.96 crore in the year under review from Rs 109 crore in FY23. The rest of its income was generated from the sale of food, electricity, and related services.

The company’s expenses on rental payments for living spaces accounted for 52.6% of its total costs, increasing by 34% to Rs 92.2 crore in FY24 from Rs 68.9 crore in fiscal year 2023. Employee benefits costs were Rs 21.1 crore in the year under review.
Other expenses, including the cost of maintaining facilities, advertising, and transportation, added up to Rs 175.3 crore in FY24, marking a 20% rise from the previous year.

The firm reported a net loss of Rs 30.7 crore in FY24, an increase from the net loss of Rs 25.5 crore in FY23. Its ROCE and EBITDA margin were -809.54% and -69.15%, respectively. The company spent Rs 1.23 to generate a rupee of operating revenue in the fiscal year 2024.
The company has been in operation for eight years, and has secured a total funding of Rs 129 crore, including a $10 million investment from personal funds of Shantanu Rastogi (General Atlantic) and Ajay Gupta’s (Capital Foods) family office, AJAX Capital, and Holy Basil Consultancy.
