Online travel aggregator Easemytrip has teamed up with PhonePe to specifically feature its hotels on the fintech app. On September 26, the firm announced that it has partnered with PhonePe to debut its “hotels segment” on their platform.

PhonePe members will have access to EaseMyTrip’s services, including hotel discounts, exclusive offers, and taxi services, as part of this partnership. To streamline accessibility and draw in more customers, the partnership will take advantage of PhonePe’s user base and EaseMyTrip’s extensive offers in the travel tech sector.

Co-founder of EaseMyTrip, Rikant Pitti stated, “By integrating these segments with PhonePe, we are not only expanding our reach but also ensuring that users have access to the best deals and a seamless booking experience. We look forward to growing this partnership and introducing more services on the PhonePe platform to enrich the travel experience for our customers.”

About the partnership, Phonepe’s chief business officer of consumer payments, Sonhika Chandra stated, “Indians are increasingly traveling for leisure both domestically and abroad and this is part of our strategy to provide our 560+ million users with the best travel booking experience available in India.”

EaseMyTrip, founded by Nishant Pitti, Rikant Pitti, and Prashant Pitti in the year 2008, started as an internet travel service but has since expanded to include insurTech and the production of electric buses.

In Q1 FY25, the listed online travel aggregator generated a profit of ₹33.9 crore, bringing it back to profitability after posting a net loss of ₹15 crore in Q4 FY24.
