Clean-tech startup Exposome has raised Rs 10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on women-led businesses. The round also saw participation from 3i Partners and existing investors, including Rahul Rathi, Bhukhanvala Holdings, Excel Industries, and Spectrum Impact.

Exposome plans to utilize the new capital to scale its operations, expand its market reach, and deliver impactful environmental solutions to clients in India and select international markets. Founded in 2020 by Prerna Goradia, Exposome focuses on creating sustainable and affordable technologies for capturing air emissions and treating wastewater.

The startup’s proprietary molecular filters feature a patented regenerative process and advanced filter materials that are customizable, long-lasting, and reusable. These filters effectively isolate contaminants, releasing cleaner air and water, and helping industries comply with Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) standards and other environmental regulations.

Exposome has developed innovative products like “Pur-safe,” an advanced molecular air filtration media designed to combat air pollution, and “PurCODe,” a next-generation regenerable media for treating wastewater effluents. Both products offer cost-effective, plug-and-play solutions suitable for a wide range of industries, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, paint, oil, refineries, cement, thermal power, textiles, and leather.

Since its launch, the Mumbai-based startup claims to have served over 25 clients and deployed more than 1,000 filters across various sectors.
