Livpure Secures ₹208 Cr from M&G Investments and Ncubate Capital for Expansion

Livpure, a prominent manufacturer of water purifiers and air conditioners, has raised ₹208 crore ($28 million) in its latest funding round. This round includes ₹208 crore ($25 million) from M&G Investments through its Catalyst investment strategy and ₹25 crore ($3 million) from Ncubate Capital Partners.

The funds will be used to accelerate category expansion, enhance product development, broaden offerings, and strengthen Livpure’s market presence to meet the evolving needs of consumers in the home appliances segment, according to a company press release.

Established in 2012 by Rakesh Malhotra and Navneet Kapoor, Livpure offers a diverse range of products, including water purifiers, subscription-based purifiers, air coolers, kitchen appliances, mattresses, and sleep accessories. Navodhyam Trust, owned by the founders, held over 50% equity as of the last funding round, with Lakshya Holding owning over 10%. The company has raised nearly $80 million to date.

Livpure primarily competes with DrinkPrime, which recently secured $3 million in funding from SIDBI Venture Capital. Additionally, Livpure’s subscription model rivals established brands like Eureka Forbes’ Acquaguard and ZunPure.

For the fiscal year ending March 2023, Livpure posted a 35% increase in operating revenue, reaching ₹294 crore, while losses grew modestly by 10% to ₹48.62 crore. Water purifiers accounted for more than 80% of the company’s total revenue. Although its FY24 report is pending, Livpure claims a 45% growth across all business segments in the first quarter of FY25.
