Morphing Machines, a fabless semiconductor startup, has successfully raised $2.76 million in its seed funding round led by Speciale Invest, a prominent seed stage VC specializing in deep technologies. The funding round also saw participation from IvyCap Ventures, Golden Sparrow, Navam Capital, CIIE Initiatives, and DeVC.
According to a press release, the funds will be primarily allocated towards accelerating product development and prototyping efforts, expanding the engineering team, and bolstering go-to-market strategies.
Under initiatives supported by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Morphing Machines is focused on developing REDEFINE, an advanced many-core processor Soft IP. This innovative processor is designed to cater to a wide range of applications including data analysis, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and high-performance computing. By integrating functions traditionally handled by disparate processors, Morphing Machines aims to deliver enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, thereby streamlining time-to-market for its clients.
Currently employing a team of over 20 professionals, Morphing Machines plans to scale its workforce to more than 40 members, focusing on design, verification, emulation, and tape-out processes to further advance its technological offerings.
