Hood, the pseudonymous social networking platform, has launched “Whistle,” a groundbreaking tool designed to provide in-depth insights into the health of companies.
Leveraging data from Entrackr and TheKredible, Whistle aims to offer a holistic view of company performance and dynamics.
Whistle delivers an overall company health score derived from multiple parameters such as financial performance, recent layoffs, valuation and revenue multiples, growth metrics, and debt-to-equity ratios. By integrating data from startup intelligence platform TheKredible, news articles, and user reviews, Whistle equips professionals with the necessary information to make well-informed career decisions. The platform provides transparent insights into company culture, pay parity, and growth opportunities, which are essential for evaluating potential employers.
Users can access scores ranging from “Very Poor” to “Excellent,” with data being updated daily to ensure the most current insights. According to Hood, Whistle is a valuable resource for understanding a company’s internal dynamics, thus aiding in making informed career choices.
“The name ‘Whistle’ embodies the concept of a whistleblower, synonymous with truth. We aim to create a discussion board for individual companies to gather qualitative insights, in addition to the quantitative data analyzed by Entrackr,” said Abhishek Asthana, Co-founder of Hood, popularly known as GabbbarSingh on the internet.
Hood, co-founded by Jasveer Singh and Asthana in July 2021, is a pseudonymous social networking platform that allows users to express themselves anonymously. The platform enables users to share posts and opinions using pseudonymous usernames and select topics of interest. Available for Android and iOS devices, Hood aims to provide a safe space for open and honest communication without the fear of public backlash.
According to TheKredible, Hood has raised approximately $3.2 million in funding from notable investors including 3one4 Capital, 9Unicorn Ventures, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Ritesh Agarwal, Ashish Hemrajani, Kunal Shah, and Ashneer Grover.
With the launch of Whistle, Hood continues to innovate, offering tools that empower professionals with actionable insights, thereby enhancing their ability to navigate the competitive job market.
