Drone logistics startup Skye Air has successfully raised $4 million in its Series A funding round from prominent investors including Mount Judi Ventures, Chiratae Ventures, Venture Catalyst, Windrose Capital, and Tremis Capital. The round also witnessed participation from Faad Capital, Misfits Capital, Hyderabad Angels, Soonicorn Ventures, along with other existing investors, family offices, and angels.
This funding round follows Skye Air’s earlier seed round in November 2022, where it raised $1.7 million led by Chiratae Ventures.
The fresh capital infusion will enable Skye Air to expand its last-mile delivery network, particularly focusing on Gurugram and other key cities. The expansion aims to enhance logistics services across various sectors including healthcare, e-commerce, and quick-commerce deliveries.
Founded by Ankit Kumar and Chandra Prakash, Skye Air specializes in offering sustainable last-mile logistics solutions catering to healthcare, e-commerce, quick-commerce, and food industries. The Delhi-NCR based firm is dedicated to integrating drone deliveries as a mainstream logistics solution for its target sectors.
A notable innovation by Skye Air is the development of Skye UTM, an advanced unmanned traffic management system. Skye UTM plays a crucial role in managing drone traffic, ensuring safety, and facilitating efficient communication between drones and air traffic controls.
