This all started in the world artificial intelligence conference. It was held in Shanghai. The organizers of the event were surprised to see both of them holding their grounds. They had some strong points to counter each other’s opinions as Jack Ma and Elon Musk debate. The organizers got more than they expected. As when the debate between Alibaba’s billionaire chairman Jack Ma and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, turned into a heated conversation. It was mainly regarding the future of AI, aliens. Also Musk’s interest on making life habitable on Mars.
The debate between the two leading tech entrepreneurs included the potential benefits. It also tied the consequences of this futuristic technology.
What is the Future of AI?
In Jack Ma and Elon Musk debate, Elon Musk was in favor of humanity. Whereas Jack Ma supported the development and growth of Artificial Intelligence. Looks like Musk is going on the human side again.
Tesla’s Musk claimed that “people think of artificial intelligence as a smarter version of themselves. But it’s actually much more than that”.
Ma said that “artificial intelligence shall not pose any threat to the humanity”. To which Musk called that “famous last words”. The space X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk was skeptical about how AI would benefit humans.
He pointed out that “ the speed at which computers are advancing day by day is insane”. Also deciphering that a time will come when superfast artificially intelligent devices will get tired of us slow humans.
Ma’s Clever reply
Ma countered that by saying “ Computers may be clever. But human beings are way smarter. He added that “humans have invented the computer. I’ve never seen a computer invent a human being”.
Ma also said that he is not a tech guy. Although he thinks AI can help understand humans better. And it’s not a threat to which Musk countered, “I dunno man”.
This also raised concerns among scientists. As late Stephen Hawking who warned that it will eventually turn against humanity and annihilate it. Although this seems kind of like in the movies. It won’t be happening at all.
Since Jack Ma and Elon Musk debate on humanity aside AI, it won’t be getting that serious. Unless it’s done intentionally.
What about aliens and work culture?
The conference was about AI but it also came down to existence of Aliens. And even Mars, work culture. After a long hour talk about AI, Ma took a dig on Musk’s interest. That towards colonizing Mars.
Thinking about the future, Musk said that “we shall take steps for continuing consciousness”.
We should not expect that consciousness will continue on its own. He also raised questions about the existence of extraterrestrials.
On the counter of Jack Ma and Elon Musk debate, Musk got into a point. Citing there are people who believe we have found aliens. But trust me I would know as he ended.
The conversation then took turns to the subject of reformation of education. Ma insisted that AI will be able to transform the amount of time spent in the office. To just 12 hours. And on the matter of getting jobs.
Ma said that everyone. Including human beings any country or government should change the education system.
It should be done such a way that the youth can get employments easily. A job that requires less time to invest. Three days a week and four hours a week.
Benefits and consequences of AI
“In this era of growing technology we are already a cyborg. Because our phones. And computers are the integral part of our lives”, Said Musk.
To which Ma added that “AI will aid the lives of humans. Definitely in future causing a significant reduction in working hours. As AI does pretty much everything”. Believe me it won’t.

Future of tech and humans
Jack Ma questioned Musk’s efforts. To develop a spacecraft that could help colonize Mars. Ma made a statement towards Musk that said, “We need a hero like you. But we need more heroes like us improving things on earth”. Musk countered that saying we must master interplanetary travel.
In case earth becomes inhabitable. Or meets its end. Scientists like Hawking warned about the destruction of earth by citing the risks of nuclear war. Or a devastating virus, global warming or asteroid collision. Taking the planet to the brink of extinction.
At last, Jack Ma and Elon Musk’s debate ended with both agreeing that humanity must be saved at all costs. As every new generation brings solutions to modern problems.
