The Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020), a masterpiece exhibition for all tech freaks, takes place every year at Las Vegas. People wait for the new products launched at the show every year.
The exhibition took place from 6th to 10th January this year. This time, a lot of products arrived, some made their mark and some failed to present themselves. So how has CES 2020 performed by far?
A boom for AI and Robotics
This year, CES visitors have witnessed a lot of new products that are AI-based. Samsung launched all-new AI humans and blew minds that something as realistic as humans can be presented.
The company also presented ‘Ballie’, a mind-blowing home device and robotic companion. The ball-shaped gadget is equipped with a camera and sensors. It can control home features, take photos, and send you updates about your home.
Sony also presented a new electric car and proved itself in the automobile sector. The company’s ‘Vision-S’ is a flexible electric vehicle with 33 internal and external sensors, 5G connection, assistive driving capability and much more.
Household robots made their mark in the show. Charmin is known for its household products and this time its homely robot was a show stopper. It is controlled by an application and can even get you toilet papers for you.
Vertical phone like TVs
We have adapted phones in our lifestyles for a while now, and it looks like it’s structure is even entering our everyday virtual life.
Samsung stepped in this sector as well. The newly arrived model will be available in the market by the name ‘Sero’.
It is not just a stiff vertical TV, it can switch horizontally as well when required. The company kept in mind that a lot of people have adapted vertical screens in their everyday lives.
Air bikes and cars
Every year something like this comes up, and every year there’s just a hype. Uber and Hyundai together launched a ‘flying taxi’ in hopes of transitioning the sharing trips. According to Hyundai, the first prototype will be ready by 2023.
As if that wasn’t fine to hear, the Manta5 Hydrofoil bike was also launched this year. The bike is partly a bike and partly a plane.
The product is designed to mimic cycling movements on water and it has a complete waterproof battery and motor. It has been under development for eight years.
Solving privacy issues
Privacy was a top concern this year. Google introduced two new voice commands to sort issues faced in its voice assistant.
Users can delete what they said from the voice assistant. They can just use the new command, “Hey Google, that wasn’t for you.”
World’s most controversial social media app Facebook’s spokesperson announced a new version of its “Privacy Setup” tool. The company believes it will guide its users through new and improved privacy setting.
Rocean One and Hydraloop Water Recycler
Water conservation is one of the topmost things to do right now, and these two products are definitely good takes to stop the usage of single-use plastic and improve water reuse.
Rocean One is using flavour pods in its water filters that are reusable. This way the company is moving towards letting people enjoy their favourite drinks without purchasing them from the market.
Coming towards the Hydraloop Water Recycler, it recycles ‘Grey Water’ from baths, showers, washing machines and other such products. It has maintenance free filtration techniques and can recycle up to 85% water.
Improving Mobile Livecast products
This year at CES, Roland Go: Livecast seemed like a good product for smartphone vloggers to create more efficient live-streaming content.
It helps the solo producers work on sound effects, display titles, audio mixing and many more features like this.
The product’s capability is also great. It supports multiple input and output options. The options also include XLR and a built-in microphone.
Conclusion
So far till today, CES 2020 seems like a display of various intriguing and exciting gadgets. Almost all products seem worthy except the flying concepts, but as far as even that is possible, this year’s show looks like a success.
